After a well spent Sunday evening at Sierra open space reserve, wifey and I were looking for dinner options and we found this authentic Nepalese cuisine in Milpitas. Truly best decision made to eat here as we both enjoyed the flavours of Nepal in this hidden gem I must say. As an avid traveler and foodie who has tasted Nepal cuisine in the city of Kathmandu itself and Thamel. I have been surprised by the authenticity of food I got from Kathmandu cuisine. So delicious and flavourful. We ordered Chicken THUKPA and Chicken Chili. Both dishes were truly worth it and value for money. The quantity was sufficient that one thukpa was enough for 2. Chicken chilli was worth appetiser. But THUKPA is a must try. My preggy wife can't eat momos at this time, so next time we are around , we will try their steamed momos and lunch thali. Very spacious and service was great. Top spot for savouring Nepal dishes. I will keep coming again.
Absolutely fantastic food! And the most friendly service! Today they had live music and some karaoke options Saturday) and it was a lot of fun. If you are not sure what to order start with their chicken dumplings.. they are fantastic! Their team is very helpful and make great suggestions. Give this place a try.
The vibe reminds me of Nepal with all the paintings and handicrafts. The service was smoothless & quick. The momo didn't meet the expectation & i felt the jhol was spoiled . The chicken schezuan was a so so for me. The pork chowmein came out to be very delicious . The winner for me was the Buff Choila which was the best one in Bay Area.
What a vibe! So me and a coworker went for dinner. We placed a reservation, but when we got there, we were the only people in the restaurant. They have two options to order in the restaurant, one through the kiosk (which has pictures of all of the dishes which we did) and the traditional method of ordering with a physical menu. As for the food itself. It was sublime. The Chicken Momos are exceptional. The lollipop chicken was delicious. I definitely will be back to try both of these dishes and more. They have a karaoke bar and the restaurant feels like home. What a place! I rarely give 5 stars and this place won me over.
This place can definitely get busy. It has a nice lively atmosphere. Service was okay. I don't like how they seated another group before us even though we were #1 in the waiting queue. Even when tables were opening up, they never called our names or took us to our table. I had to go and ask one of the workers if we can get seated. You pay for everything before hand, and then they serve you. I got the butter chicken, tikka masala, spicy shrimp appetizer and garlic naan. Dishes were very flavorful and solid. Plenty of food options.
This place has cool ambiance inside - Nepalese local cuisines and Mt. Everest photos. Came in with a reservation and seated in 5min. The table has QR code where you can order what you want for dine in and you have to pay it before they can get your order and prepare it. They said it's around 20min for the food to be served. Chai (teas) were served and they're really good. It's been over 35min tho and the food isn't served yet so I had to ask the guy to pls check for me and so he did. Our order took 40min before we could eat! The food came and for the price they charged us - it's generous. The food is not the best, but it's good and cheap at the same time. Would I go back? Yes
I'd never been here before, so I didn't know what to expect. When you walk in you are instantly transported to somewhere that doesn't feel like Milpitas. There's lots of art everywhere, and even a movie poster of movie/book covers that share the name "Kathmandu." I was with two friends, and it took us awhile to figure out what to order. In the end we tried the fish curry, chicken naan, buff momos, veggie momos, fried tofu fried rice, garlic naan, and lamb curry. Let me tell you, everything was good! The veggie momos were a little spicy (I am also weak against spice), but it was not a problem because the flavors! They were so good! I'd never had buffalo before and now I'm converted! 100% recommend this place. Also, splitting the bill is easy since each device has its own bill/order. You may want to be aware of that when you submit orders so that everything can come out at relatively the same time.
For my friend's birthday, we decided to meet at Kathmandu restaurant and try out Nepalese food. The parking lot was small and rough, but we were able to park at 6:45pm. Since we were a group of 4, we ordered a momo, orange caulifer, bowl of noodle, fish curry, and Naan. It was very delicious. Would enjoy coming back with my family.
